Terms of Use — ColiWorks

uso-en-2026-10-26published 2026-10-26

These are the terms that govern your use of ColiWorks and your subscription, if you are outside Brazil. ⚠️ They have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. If any part conflicts with the law that protects you, the law wins.

These terms have not been reviewed by a lawyer. They were written to describe honestly what the service does and what you are signing up for. If any part conflicts with the law, the law wins.

1. What ColiWorks is

ColiWorks is software that runs in your browser and lets you design parametric decorative pieces — vases, lamps, pendants, wall lights, accessories — and export files ready for 3D printing, including the slicing recipe.

The service is run by Matheus Ballesteros, an individual based in Brazil. Contact: contact@coliworks.com.

This English version is the one that applies if you use ColiWorks from outside Brazil. Customers in Brazil are covered by the Portuguese version, at coliworks.com/termos.

Paid plans are not sold in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom for now. The Free plan is available there.

2. What the service delivers — and what it does not

This section defines what you are buying. Read it carefully:

ColiWorks delivers: the environment to design the piece, the geometry calculation, the material and time estimate, and the output files (STL, 3MF, G-code) according to the parameters you choose.

ColiWorks does not deliver: the printed piece. Printing happens on your machine, with your material, in your conditions — and the result depends on things outside the software: printer calibration, filament quality and moisture, room temperature, bed adhesion, equipment maintenance and the choices you make in your slicer.

So: estimates are estimates, and the warnings the software gives (thin wall, wide gap, layer time) are guidance based on our own measurements, not guarantees.

2.1. Safety with pieces that hold a light bulb

🔴 This part is not legal formality — it is physical risk, and you need to read it:

If you have any doubt about the electrical part, ask a qualified electrician. We give no electrical instructions, and ColiWorks does not supply, specify or certify electrical components.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens in your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, tell us at contact@coliworks.com.

The account is personal. You can use the service on as many devices as you like, but you cannot share your login with other people or resell it.

3.1. How we measure studio usage

To improve the studio, we record how it is used with Microsoft Clarity: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement on the studio screens. It does not see your 3D piece, and your name and email are masked. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

4. What you create is yours

The pieces you create are yours. We claim no ownership over your projects or over the files you export.

You give us only the technical licence needed to store and display your work inside the service — without it, there would be no way to save a piece and open it later. That licence ends when you delete the piece or close your account.

We do not use your pieces in promotional material without your express permission.

4.1. What you can do with the file

The files you generate (STL, 3MF, G-code) are yours. You can print them as many times as you like and show your pieces wherever you like.

⛔ What you can never do is pass the file on — not for free, not for sale, not by posting it in a repository. The file is yours to print; it is not yours to redistribute.

4.2. Selling what you print

The commercial licence comes with the plan and covers what you print while the plan is active. Each plan describes what it includes, and we take no percentage of your sales.

If you stop subscribing, the licence stops covering new pieces — but what has been sold stays sold. We never go back on sales you have already made.

5. The software is ours

ColiWorks — the code, the interface, the texts, the print presets and the knowledge built into the product — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your subscription gives you a licence to use it, not ownership. You may not: copy or redistribute the software; reverse engineer it to reproduce how it works; extract the presets, the slicing rules or the database for use outside the product; or offer ColiWorks as your own service to others.

6. Plans, price and renewal

The plans, the prices and what each one includes are described on the pricing page, which is part of these terms. The price shown at checkout is the full price you pay, including any tax we are required to collect.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period — monthly or yearly, as you choose — using the same payment method, until you cancel.

Explicitly:

7. Refunds and cancelling

Payments are not refundable, except:

To ask for a refund, write to contact@coliworks.com.

You can cancel whenever you want, with a button inside the service. Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will not be charged again. No fee, no minimum term.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use ColiWorks to: create pieces that infringe other people's rights; produce illegal items; try to overload, break into or get around the service's protections; automate access without permission; or resell access.

If we find use of this kind, we may suspend the account — with notice and a chance to respond, unless the law requires immediate action.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service online, but it may be unavailable because of maintenance, technical failure or a supplier problem. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The product evolves: features may be added, changed or removed. If we remove something important from the plan you pay for, we tell you in advance and you can cancel at no cost.

Keep your own copy of the files that matter to you. We back up the database, but no backup replaces your own copy.

10. Liability

We are responsible for the harm we cause, as the law provides. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

What we do say — and this is different from excluding liability — is what section 2 already says: what you are buying is the software and the files it generates, not the physical result of the print nor the safety of an electrical assembly made by someone else.

11. Closing the account

You can close your account whenever you want, inside the service. We can close yours if these terms are broken, with notice and a chance to fix it where that makes sense.

Once the account is closed, your data follows the Privacy Policy. Export first what you want to keep.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Important changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel at no cost if you do not agree. The current version is always on this page, with its date.

Changes do not apply backwards: what already happened follows the version in force at the time.

13. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence.

Before any of that, write to contact@coliworks.com: we answer every message and would rather fix the problem with you.
